IMPORTANT Update: 26th
April 2012
At the Board meeting on the 23rd April
it was agreed that those applying for this programme needed to
have 12 months of continuous membership with the Society.
As this programme has only been running since September 2011,
we have little experince with its trends so we are taking this
precautionary measure until we have a better handle on its useage.
The uptake has been far beyond our expectations
OVERVIEW
The aim of the getPhysical programme is to enable you to maintain, or improve, your physical ability and fitness. Vouchers are supplied to successful applicants. The vouchers are for physical activities such as gym fees, physio sessions, yoga classes, rehab clinics etc. The vouchers cannot be used to purchase equipment or for medical purposes (i.e. massage, acupuncture, osteopathy, doctors visits, etc). The user must be an active participant (not passive).
Suppliers must be GST registered.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR APPROACHING ANY NEW SUPPLIER YOU WISH
TO USE.
If the supplier you wish to use is prepared to accept our vouchers, they should contact the Society for confirmation that we will accept their invoices. If all is well, you will pay for their services using the getPhysical vouchers we supply to you.
Another alternative is to get the supplier to supply you with an invoice. You send the invoice plus the required amount of vouchers to the Society, and then the Society will direct credit the supplier. (please ensure that the supplier’s bank account number is on the invoice)
Approximately $500 of getPhysical vouchers will be alloted to a user per 12 month period. The vouchers have an expiry date, after which they cannot be used.
The user may use their vouchers with more than one supplier.

Some Frequently asked Questions…. with Answers
Question: Can the getPhysical vouchers be used for massages?
Answer: No…… some people require a massage to become ready to do exercises. Provided this is a minor part of the activity, a small massage may be included; however physical activity must occur thereafter.
Question: If the supplier I wish to use is not GST registered, what do I do?
Answer: The supplier must be GST registered, if not then you cannot use the getPhysical vouchers with that supplier.
Question: After having been on the programme, when can I re-apply to be on it again?
Answer: Once the expiry date on your current set of getPhysical vouchers has passed, you may re-apply thereafter.
Question: Can I use the vouchers to join a sports club?
Answer: No.
Question: If the supplier I wish to use will not take the getPhysical vouchers, what do I do?
Answer: Ask them if they are prepared to give you an invoice (addressed to the CP Society). If so, you can send the invoice to the Society. Include in the envelope with the invoice enough vouchers to cover the invoice. Ensure that the supplier’s bank account number is on the invoice. We will direct credit the supplier, then you can use their services.
If they are not prepared to do this then you need to find another supplier.
Question: Can I use the vouchers to buy equipment to do the exercise, like a tread-mill, or sports shoes, etc?
Answer: No.
Question: Can I use the getPhysical vouchers for transport to the activity I wish to do?
Answer: No
Question: If the supplier is willing, can they come to my house to do the exercises/ activity/ therapy?
Answer: Yes
As this programme gets more users, there will be more questions. We will add them to this initial list
