Everyone, in Christchurch, was once again looking forward to another Christmas event, thanks to the CP society. In fact some were so keen (Matthew Whiting)they turned up over an hour early and frantic phone calls were made to see what time lunch was, still it is always good to make sure the bar is in working order.
With that accomplished we sat down to another amazing Christmas meal put on by the Chateau on the Park, filled with every Christmas treat imaginable.

Not only was Christmas celebrated but a member Catherine Smith’s birthday was acknowledged with a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday. Hopefully this topped off a fantastic birthday for Catherine and early birthday wishes for Janet as well.
Pat Kearns kept us entertained with music to suit everyone and this ensured that a wonderful afternoon was had by all. I’m sure people will be back next year to see if Matt can better his record set this year!

(I always said that Matt was a wise man. Checking out the bar before everyone arrived, sampling the drinks to make sure all the amber was fresh and the top shelf was the best on offer. Well done mate. You’re my kind of guy. And I mean that in a manly kind of way. Ha. Floody)
