Repairs@accessable

On May 2nd, the technical and office teams of the Auckland based Rehab Servicing Ltd merged into the business of accessable. The result is the formation of Repairs@accessable.

With eight years experience in various roles at accessable Craig Tweedie has been appointed Operations Manager. Craig has a wide base of knowledge around the provision of rehabilitation equipment and the needs of clients. His role is to oversee 16 staff members, including 11 technicians who complete, approximately, 1,000 repairs a month'

The range of services which cater for clients from the Waikato to the Far North, will remain the same,” said Craig.

“We do anything from fixing flat tyres to customised work for clients, who have complex needs. Our technicians are on the road from Bombay to Warkworth every day of the week and our sub contractors cover the far reaches of our territory. If a client has an emergency, one of our technicians will be there with solutions.

Craig sees three challenges ahead, improved communication with customers, improved support from suppliers and further development of technical knowledge. He acknowledges that continued up skilling by the staff is a necessity to improve the already high quality service.

Another familiar face, Cathy McEwan, has joined the team as Office Manager. Cathy brings with her an in-depth knowledge of customers and their need, gained through a long and valued history with accessable. Cathy now works from the Repairs@accessable office, which means the repairs team is now centralised, in one location. This means immediate decisions can be made, as the process is sped up, enhancing the current service performance.  Supporting Cathy in the office are Devina, Lili and Simone.

Repairs@accessable will be implementing accessable’s customer focus strategy as part of the merging of the operations, allowing the staff to measure and respond to the needs of customers more efficiently.

Known collectively as R5, focusing on these key areas ensure the Right product, is delivered to the Right person, at the Right place, at the Right time, at the Right price

The equipment appraisal process (formally BER form) has also been updated to better identify the needs of the client during that process. Therapists from various organisations were included in the design and format of the updated document and it has proved to an effective tool.
