All Modes of Transportation Welcome

Here is the opportunity to give your able bodied mates a “run, hop or wheel” for their money. 'The Lion Foundation Hope & Possibility 5km fun run is being held at the North Harbour Stadium on Sunday 28th November.  People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter this event designed for disabled people and able-bodied people to come together to achieve their goals. As implied above the event caters for all forms of mobility such as crutches, wheelchairs and even hand-cycles.

It's an event for the whole family as there will be entertainment, spot prizes, food and drink stalls, kids' rides and celebrity guests.

There are two events: The 5km fun run/walk starts at 9.30am and 5km racing chair/handcrank event starts at 10.30am Early entry fee cost $10 or $20 if you enter on the day. Supporters are welcome as there is no entry fee to the stadium.

The event is for the charity 'Achilles International New Zealand' The Achilles club is a worldwide organisation, represented in seventy countries. Their mission is to enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics, promote personal achievement, enhance self esteem and lower barriers.
