A fun event to pencil in

The Westpac Halberg Trust invites you to participate in the Sir Barry Curtis 5km Fun Run and Walk. This event is on Sunday the 17th of October from 8.15am (starting time 9am) The Pakuranga Athletics Club at Lloyd Elsmore Park hosts the starting line.

Westpac will provide the T-shirts and fund the entry fee for all disabled people plus one support person. All participants are rewarded with a barbeque at the finish line

These Westpac Halberg Trust community initiatives are always good value. I participated in the Trust’s Round the Bays event and had a great time.  After the initial shock of tumbling out of bed at an early hour during the weekend   there is nothing like getting some exercise and appreciating the day. I found it a great interlude from my daily routine. You also have the chance of meeting some outstanding people who tell you tales from their life experiences and life styles. While participating you also gain a higher level of appreciation of our beautiful country. By the end of the day I felt refreshed   and re-energised to face the working week.

So don’t hold back. Be one of the in-crowd that can say “Done that and I’ve got the T-shirt to prove it”

Old Photos Wanted

Historical photos are urgently required, as the Society heads towards its 60th Anniversary, in early March. A large chunk of the time left is taken up by the Christmas holiday period, so we need to gather up imagery of the past, by the end of October.

Please contact General Manager Harvey Brunt as soon as possible to ensure your historic photos are photo copied in a completely safe environment. Ring 0800 503 603 Email cpsociety@cpsociety.org.nz

The photos are needed for the Anniversary booklet and presentation which will be part of the ceremony, on the night of March 12th 2011.
