The Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine,
fortunately shortened to AusACPDM is hold its biennial conference
in NZ for the first time, and Christchurch's Convention Centre is
the venue.
The Conference is medical and research focused. It is targeted
at looking at the latest research from the Australasian area and
significant developments from around the world. Academics, Researchers,
Specialist and Physio/OT's would make up 90% of those attending.
The registration costs for the 3 day conference is $A595, or for
attending just one of the days $A325 (provided one registers prior
to the 29th January). For a link to their website click

The exciting part for Society members is the Cerebral Palsy Family
Fun Day, that will be held on Sunday the 7th March.
See the flier below.
I will be attending the conference with Amy Hogan. Amy will be presenting
to the Conference on the Saturday. The Society is also sponsoring
Dr Joanne Kurtzberg, from Duke University, to the conference. After
Amy's presentation on Saturday Dr Kurtzberg will then be addressing
the conference on cord blood re introduction, a topical subject
at the moment.
.
(Dr Kurtzberg will be presenting to the Auckland membership of the
Society on Friday evening, the 5th March, at 7:30pm at Yarnton House,
14 Erson Avenue. Keep this evening free, a flier will be coming
out in the next few weeks)
Amy and I will also be attending the Fun Day so we look forward
to seeing you there.
