Friday’s exhibit sparks creativity

Spark Studio invites you to its open day, on Friday 16th October between 3pm ---6pm. The studio gives people with disabilities the opportunity to tell their extraordinary tales, via the fine arts.

Spark Studio regularly holds exhibitions, where it achieves a consistent level of sales. After every showing there is a constant flow of positive feedback from the wider community and the studio often receives requests from galleries, in other parts of the country, asking for art pieces to exhibit.

This Friday, the artists work from the studios open class will be on display and for sale. Major project works from the past couple of years will be exhibited, such as Portraiture, Draw to Print, the Printed Image and Language Through Art. Visitors will also be able to view a multimedia presentation showing a preview on current projects.

Throughout the exhibition a couple of students are performing pieces of music. Lisa Hannan, who has performed at the “Roasted Addiction” Café in Kingsland, will be playing the guitar and singing, and Allyson Hamblett will be playing her own composition on the keyboard. Both Lisa and Allyson are developing a well respected name for themselves, as composers of their own songs.

In attendance there will be Spark Studio artists/students, tutors, staff, board members, friends, family and supporters.

Come and see these life transforming pieces of art at Spark Studio, 1st Clubroom, Rocky Nook Bowls, Fowlds Park, St Lukes, Auckland

RSVP to Josie on 09 845 5361 or email josie@sparkstudio.org.nz

Regarding Art sales --- cash or cheques are accepted. Unfortunately there are no eft-pos or credit card facilities.
