Singles:
For the Singles there are 11 pools. (3 pools of 5 players and 8 pools of four players) The winner from each pool will proceed through to the knock out round, together with the five top second place getters. From then on it is sudden death!

Pairs:
There will be 22 sets of pairs playing in the Pairs competition. As yet no one has been assigned to any team. This will be done on the Sunday prior to that competition starting. It is important that all those playing in the Pairs be at the venue no later than 10:30am on the Sunday to learn which pairs team you are in and to prepare for the first round which begins at 11:15am. The Pairs Competition will consist of 5 pools (2 pools of 5 pairs and 3 pools of 4 pairs). First, second and third from each pool will proceed through to the knock out rounds together with the top 4th place getter.

General:

  • There will be no call box. Players must be at there court 5 minutes prior to the start of their game. Failure to be at your court at the official start time will result in forfeiture of that game (unless player is still playing on another court)
  • BC3 assistants may look into court once their player has rolled all their balls for that end.
  • There will be no time keeping. As usual if someone is playing slowly we may time them.
  • There will be no tie-breaks during pool play.
  • With 8 courts being used there will be times when no referees are available. It may be that some games will be refereed by the players them selves with the head referee being available for any disputes.
  • The head referee will be Trevor Freeman. His decision will be final.
  • Game points will be awarded as follows: Win:2, Draw:1, Loss:0
  • Lunches will be provided for the competitors and officials.
  • There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place-getters.
  • Courts will be laid on the Friday evening starting at 6pm. All those who can assist will be most welcome.

It will be a great 3 days and we look forward to seeing you there.
